Originally created in the late 80’s, Green Valley is a borough within Henderson and often referenced to as; the “newer and western” part of Henderson. Before the huge push in the early 1990’s to have complete “Master Planned Communities” Green Valley was highly esteemed as one of the nicest areas of Las Vegas. Although it’s geographic reference is somewhat vague, Green Valley Pkwy to the west, Stephanie street to the east, north of the I-215 South, & Russell Road / Sunset to the north, that general vicinity remains a highly sought after and well received community. During the 2000’s many of its original residents sold and migrated further south into the newer master planned areas such as Seven Hills, Anthem, and Green Valley Ranch. Although it’s hay day was in the early to late 1990’s Green Valley High School remains one of the highest accredited schools in the entire district and one of only two with an IB program.
